Privacy and Terms of Use

Who we are

By accessing or using this site, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below. Peak Advanced Manufacturing and Design (“Peak AME”) may modify these terms and conditions at any time and such modification shall be effective immediately upon posting.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on this Site, you may choose to opt in to the storage of your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is provided for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter this information when leaving future comments. These cookies will remain active for a period of one (1) year, unless cleared by you earlier.

If you access certain pages, a temporary cookie may be set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information and is deleted once you close your browser.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie may be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and simply records the post ID of the content you interacted with. It will expire after one (1) day.

Third party links and embedded content

This website (“Site”) may contain links to third-party websites or may be accessible via links from such third-party websites. Peak Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Design LLC (“Peak AME”) makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the content, accuracy, legality, or functionality of any third-party websites and expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for the same. Peak AME does not control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for third-party content, websites, products, or services. Access to and use of such third-party websites is undertaken entirely at your own risk.

This Site may also include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.) from third-party websites. Embedded content behaves in the same manner as if you had visited the third-party website directly. Who we share your data with

Peak Advanced Automation and Design (“Peak AME”) is committed to respecting your privacy. Peak AME will not, without your consent, convey Personally Identifiable Information about you to other organizations. Personally Identifiable Information is any information that is associated with your name. Peak AME uses your information to understand your needs and provide you service.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
